JHB Media & Public Relations founder Jocelyne Hudson-Brown is a Public Relations professional whose specialty is African-American Marketing and Advertising. She was an active member of a team that produced Addy Award winning spots for Nissan, Bank of America and the State of California. Hudson-Brown is a recipient of a Society of Professional Journalists Award. Work on short films and animation with Debonair Productions have earned nods from the Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame.
A career in the entertainment industry includes work with the Oscar Award winning (C)olossal Pictures in San Francisco, CA as well as the production of three independent feature films for Debonair Productions in Oakland, CA. She worked as a Stage Manager for both (C)olossal Pictures and Custer Ave. Stages.
Work in advertising includes Carol H. Williams (creator of the Pillsbury Dough Boy) Advertising in Emeryville, CA and UniWorld Group in NYC. Both agencies are leaders in the field of African-American marketing and advertising.
In 2001 she founded JHB Media & Public Relations based in Connecticut. Projects have included African-American marketing for CT Gov. Dan Malloy’s gubernatorial campaign. Public Relations representation for the National Association of Real Estate Brokers, Press Agent for two New Haven, CT mayoral candidates and New Haven, CT coordinator for National Night Out sponsored by Target. Individuals represented include Billboard Achievement Award winner, jazz artist Ike Williams. Also worked with three time Tony Award Winner Lester Osterman.
Hudson-Brown has written hundreds of news articles. Her editorial pieces have been featured in the Washington Post, New York Post and on Larry King Live. Hudson-Brown has done print interviews with comedian Joan Rivers, Civil Rights icon John Lewis, Queen Latifah, among many others.
